Job summary

Viridian NZ is seeking experienced Machine Operators to join our Highbrook Factory in the IGU department. We have morning and afternoon shifts available, 6.00am - 2.30pm and 2.30pm - 11.00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will process glass to specifications, handle glass safely, and help meet production targets while contributing to site safety. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of machine operating experience; experience in cutting is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of machine operating experience is required.
• Experience in glass manufacturing or cutting is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for process improvement.
• Familiarity with manufacturing terms and DIFOT concepts is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions with safety in mind.

Hours:

6.00am - 2.30pm & 2.30pm - 11.00pm, Monday to Friday.

What you're there to do:

• Glass processing to specifications and quality standards
• Safe manual handling of glass
• Adhering to production targets
• Participating and contributing to site safety

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of machine operating experience. Experience in cutting is advantageous
• Previous experience working in the glass or the manufacturing industry is advantageous
• Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies, being able to analyse and solve problems
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing terms such as DIFOTis advantageous
• Mechanical aptitude and approach to problem solving
• Good attention to detail, positive attitude and ability to follow instructions
• Effective communication & dedicated safety focus
• Physical fitness is required as some manual lifting is involved
