Job summary

Drake Hamilton is seeking motivated and reliable Temporary Production Operators to work with one of New Zealand's leading dairy companies across multiple sites in the Waikato region.

These are temporary/seasonal positions, ideal for gaining industry experience, earning good money, and potentially stepping into a long-term career in dairy. Applicants should have reliable transport, be physically fit, and be able to pass pre-employment checks. Eligible to work in NZ.

Qualifications

• Previous factory, production, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork mindset.

• Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Forklift experience with OSH endorsement is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring automated machinery and production lines.
• Packing, stacking, and labeling dairy products to exact specifications.
• Quality checking finished goods to ensure they meet food safety standards.
• Cleaning equipment and maintaining a hygienic work environment.
• Recording production data and completing paperwork accurately.
• Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Reporting hazards, incidents, or equipment faults to supervisors promptly.

Key Dates

What We're Looking For

• Reliable transport to and from work (you must hold a Restricted License at a minimum).
• Physically fit, able to lift 15-25kg repeatedly
• Able to work different shifts (days and nights), including on short notice
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and medical test
• No criminal convictions
• Minimum of 2 recent work references required
