Job summary

PwC New Zealand is seeking a Director to lead our Wellington Private practice, overseeing a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses. You will combine technical credibility with commercial leadership to deliver accounting, tax and advisory services at the highest standard.

You will build lasting relationships with owners, CFOs and partners and drive growth, while coaching teams and embedding AI-enabled delivery across client engagements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in accounting, tax and advisory services within Big Four or comparable environment.
• Strong technical/commercial capability across financial statements, tax and business advisory.
• Proven track record building trusted senior relationships and generating growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead a significant portfolio of privately owned businesses across accounting, tax and advisory matters.
• Build enduring relationships with business owners, CFOs, and other senior stakeholders.
• Oversee high-quality engagements including statutory reporting, forecasting, financial modelling and board reporting.
• Originate new business and drive growth for the Wellington Private practice.
• Coach and develop team members and embed AI-enabled delivery across client work.
