Job summary

Zest Dental Recruitment, in partnership with a private Masterton practice, invites a Private Dentist to join their team in the Wairarapa. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, with a busy modern clinic and excellent clinical support.

You will deliver general and cosmetic dentistry, perform implant‑related work and endodontics, and work alongside a collaborative team. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants and a supportive environment is offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of clinical experience.
• Confidence across full range of general dentistry procedures.
• Experience with implants, surgical extractions and endodontics is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.
• DCNZ registration eligibility required or recognition by DCNZ.

Responsibilities

• Provide general dentistry, cosmetic procedures and emergency care.
• Perform oral surgery, endodontics and periodontal treatment.
• Work with a supportive team to maintain a well‑organised practice.

About the Practice

A well‑established dental practice in Masterton is seeking an experienced private dentist to join their supportive and collaborative clinical team. The clinic is well equipped with modern technology, including rotary endodontics, intraoral cameras and scanners, OPG imaging, digital X‑rays, Airflow systems and surgical motors.

Responsibilities

• Provide general dentistry, cosmetic procedures and emergency care.
• Perform oral surgery, endodontics and periodontal treatment.
• Work alongside a supportive team of dentists, dental assistants, reception staff and a practice manager to maintain a well‑organised and collaborative working environment.
• Discuss treatment options clearly with patients and maintain professionalism.

Qualifications

• At least one to two years of clinical experience.
• Confidence across full range of general dentistry procedures.
• Experience with implants, surgical extractions and endodontics is particularly beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.
• Eligible for registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand (DCNZ). Dentists qualified in New Zealand, Australia, UK, Ireland, Canada* or US* must be recognised by DCNZ; those with other qualifications should check DCNZ eligibility.
• USA and Canadian qualifications must be from DCNZ‑recognised accredited dental schools.
