Job summary

Fluid Recruitment is seeking a Private Client Lawyer in the Manukau area to join a dynamic firm specialising in private client matters, with a focus on trusts. You will work alongside an experienced partner on a range of matters and gain mentorship.

The role suits an experienced lawyer with 3+ years PQE in trusts, who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to broaden expertise while providing high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE experience across private client matters.
• Essential to have proven Trusts experience.
• The ability to work efficiently in a collaborative space.
• Eager to learn and develop under great mentorship.
• A personable attitude with an eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing files from opening to closing, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Drafting and preparing legal correspondence and documentation.
• Providing advice on personal assets and succession planning structures, including formation and ongoing administration of trusts.
• Drafting wills, advance directives and memoranda of wishes as part of an estate plan.
• Liaising with clients, professionals, and team members to ensure smooth transactions.
• Providing additional administrative support when required.

About the opportunity:

An excellent opportunity has arisen to be a part of a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm as they search for their next Private Client Lawyer. This well-established mid-sized firm works across a wide range of legal practices with a strong commitment to client success. This is a Manukau based role and offers the opportunity to work directly with one of the firms highly experienced partners on a range of private client work, specifically on Trusts matters. The team is supportive and collaborative giving you the change to work alongside approachable and experienced lawyers.

This role would suit a capable and experienced lawyer who is passionate about their area of work and wants to expand their expertise. With access to high-quality work and mentorship from a parter of the firm, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills where it matters most to you.
