The Principal Architect IT Infrastructure role supports, collaborates, leads and guides in the creation of IT systems within Parexel from an Infrastructure viewpoint.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide strategic direction and consultation for systems, policies, standards as they relate to business solutions.
• Assure that Information Systems (IT) components meet the expectations, standards, and objectives of the customer and company.
• Provide technical leadership, thought leadership, and project management for solution integration.
• Liaise with IT architecture, technical leads, management, technical Support and development staff for adherence to best practices in operations and systems.
• Contribute to the definition and development of worldwide operating procedures, strategies and standards for IT Systems and architecture frameworks.
• Provide consultation and direction for SBU requirements analysis.
• Work with IT management and business unit managers/directors to design and implement IT solutions for Parexel worldwide.
• Create advanced architecture for integration of business processes and advancement of PAREXEL mission.
• Provide expert analysis for evaluating project portfolio and determining highest value projects.
• Employing cross-functional IT and business expertise, design advanced solutions for delivering capabilities for PAREXEL SBUs.
• Advise and lead PAREXEL's IT departments in cross-functional IT initiatives and business programs.
• Work towards the continuous improvement of PAREXEL' s IT Department, for improved quality and operations and development practices.
• Ensure that optimal communications are advanced such that all IT units are participating in systems and business solutions.
• Keep informed on new trends in all facets of IT.
• Keep abreast of industry standards and technological trends.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills both verbaland written.
• Solid understanding of systems and processes including experience developing, writing and implementing structured architecture documentation.
• Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Wide ranging experience in IT from multiple perspectives and domains; thorough understanding of strategy and how to implement strategy for operational excellence.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Principal knowledge of Infrastructure technologies such as Vmware, Microsoft, Oracle
• Principal knowledge of Cloud technology such as SaaS, IaaS, PaaS
• Principal knowledge of Networking technologies such as firewalls, load balancers, subnets
• Principal knowledge of Cloud technology such as SaaS, IaaS, PaaS
• Experience in collaborating with teams and providing direction is preferred
• Desired experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman
• Desired knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform

Education:

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience in relevant technical area
• Relevant architecture certifications
