AECOM in Wellington is seeking a highly skilled Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and support the Te Awa Kairangi Riverlink construction phase. You will deliver geotechnical leadership, on-site support, and technical assurance across investigations, design review, and construction activities.

Working with contractors, designers, and project managers, you will resolve complex geotechnical challenges to safeguard project outcomes and ensure compliance with safety and standards

Qualifications

• Senior-level geotechnical engineering expertise.
• Experience with river and ground investigation data.
• Ability to advise on earthworks, foundation design and slope stability.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert geotechnical oversight throughout the construction phase of the Riverlink project, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Review and validate ground investigation data, advising on earthworks, foundation design, slope stability, retaining structures, and ground improvement strategies to support optimal engineering.
