Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer (Data Centres) to lead our ANZ Advanced Facilities team in delivering high-impact projects across Australia and New Zealand. The role combines technical leadership, client engagement, business growth, and mentorship of junior engineers.

You will guide hyperscale, colocation, and mission-critical facility projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and uphold engineering quality and governance throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering electrical projects in data-centre or mission-critical facilities.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on large, complex projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and delivery for hyperscale, colocation and mission-critical facility projects.
• Direct multidisciplinary design teams through all project stages from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Ensure engineering quality, innovation and consistency across all deliverables.
• Provide technical governance, peer reviews and definitive sign-off on critical documents.
• Support design management activities balancing technical excellence, commercial outcomes and risk.
