The Principal, Azure Full Stack Developer is responsible for the design, building, modification, and support of data pipelines leveraging DataBricks and PowerBI in a medallion architecture setting. This role will also assist the Operations Team with environmental issues during application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, build, modify, and support data pipelines using Microsoft Azure data PaaS services, DataBricks, and PowerBI in a medallion architecture setting
• Create prototypes to validate ideas and gather stakeholder input as needed
• Apply test-driven development and continuous integration processes effectively
• Convert high-level designs into detailed low-level designs and implement them
• Collaborate with Team Leads to define requirements, estimate costs, and plan work
• Run unit and integration tests throughout the development lifecycle
• Proactively benchmark code to ensure performance and scalability
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance Team for issue resolution and change management
• Support deployment environments and troubleshoot environmental issues
• Assist teams in resolving integration and application issues
• Mentor technical staff and oversee significant parts of the ecosystem's technical delivery

Qualifications:

• 11+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in cloud computing and 1+ years with DataBricks, Synapse, or Snowflake
• Ability to translate functional and nonfunctional needs into system requirements and develop complex applications
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies
• Knowledge of design concepts, architecture, and performance engineering
• Familiarity with quality processes and estimation techniques
• Understanding of the project domain and current technology trends
• Logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and team collaboration abilities
• Proficiency with Azure cloud platform and PaaS solutions
• Experience with SQL and PowerBI; Python preferred; PowerApps and Java also preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
