Elstow Waihou School is a beautiful well situated rural school in the Waikato just outside of Te Aroha, 45 minutes from Hamilton and just over an hour to Tauranga or Auckland.

We have around 170 children with 7 classes across our Y0-8 full primary school. Our predominantly farming community are extremely supportive and we enjoy good facilities that are up to date, a wonderful friendly teaching staff and high achieving children.

We are looking for an energetic, confident teacher to teach one of our senior school classes. You would be joining an outstanding, settled team of teachers and there is plenty of support available.

The role is full-time although we would consider a 0.8 FTTE application for the right person. We have a preference for New Zealand registered teachers and would welcome applications from experienced and beginning teachers.

We have a structured literacy and numeracy curriculum established with a variety of approaches for the rest of the curriculum. We believe in working hard and playing hard and having a good fun time every day.

We would welcome visits prior to applications or if not possible our Principal Doug can meet you via phone or zoom! Doug would welcome any questions you might have.

Applications should be made with a CV and a cover letter explaining your suitability for the role. The CV should include at least two referees including your current professional leader.

The closing date for applications is the 24th October, with interviews to follow in the next week.
