Job summary

New River Primary in Southland, New Zealand, invites applications for a full-time Certificated teacher to cover maternity leave from 28 January 2027 to 27 January 2028. The role spans Years 1–8, teaching a broad range of subjects, including English, health and physical education, maths and statistics, science, social sciences, technology, te reo Māori and the arts.

Qualifications

Certificated teacher with experience teaching in a junior classroom (flexible).
Strong literacy and/or numeracy skills.
Demonstrate sound behaviour management and positive relationships with children.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Team player who is open to learn and receive feedback.
Works well with and supports others.
Knows the importance of forming strong relationships with children, staff and whānau.

Responsibilities
