Job summary

Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections) Northland Region Corrections Facility is seeking an experienced Assistant Health Centre Manager to lead our health services team. You will support the Health Centre Manager in delivering comprehensive primary and mental health care in a secure environment.

The role requires NZ Registered Nurse with current APC, leadership and financial acumen, and a strong grasp of healthcare regulations within a corrections context.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate (NZ)
• Experience across primary, community, secondary or tertiary care with acute/complex needs
• Strong leadership, communication and financial understanding within healthcare
• Ability to apply business/operational thinking in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the health services team at NRCF
• Report to and collaborate with the Health Centre Manager
• Promote a philosophy of care and quality primary health services
• Engage with doctors, allied health professionals and external agencies to coordinate care
