Job summary

New Zealand Government invites applications for a permanent Curriculum Advisor role based in Henderson, Auckland. The role supports schools, kura and early learning services to implement the NZ Curriculum, assessment and aromatawai changes, taking a whole-school approach.

You will be part of the Northwest Auckland Curriculum Advisory Team, focusing on primary education and delivering high-quality teaching and learning programmes. Travel and collaboration across regions are required.

Qualifications

  • Strong curriculum delivery expertise with knowledge of the NZ Curriculum.
  • Experience leading whole-school curriculum changes in school settings.
  • Deep understanding of science of learning and evidence-based pedagogy.
  • Ability to coach kaiako and leaders and build capability in education settings.
  • Familiarity with te ao Maori, Te Reo, tikanga and matauranga Maori.
  • Full NZ driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline support to early learning settings and schools to implement NZ Curriculum and aromatawai changes.
  • Deliver targeted professional learning to develop pedagogical content knowledge.
  • Build collaborative networks within communities and share best practices.
  • Lead whole-school curriculum planning and support change in education settings.
