We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Science Teacher to join our Preparatory School team

About the Role

The Science Teacher plays a key role in fostering curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking across the Preparatory School.

Working with students across Years 1-8, you will design and deliver engaging, hands-on science programmes that promote inquiry, investigation, problem-solving, and scientific understanding. You will also contribute to classroom release programmes within Years 4-8, including English and Mathematics where required.

You will have opportunities to support initiatives such as Science Club, STEM challenges, and extension programmes that further develop students' interests and talents.

This is a full-time permanent position.

About You

• A recognised teaching qualification and current New Zealand teacher registration.
• Experience teachingscience within aPrimary and/orIntermediate setting.
• A passion for inquiry-based and experiential learning.
• A strong understanding of effective science pedagogy and curriculum design.
• The ability to create engaging learning experiences that encourage students to ask questions, investigate ideas, analyse evidence, and draw conclusions.
• Experience designing investigations, experiments, and practical learning experiences.
• A commitmenttopractical science safety requirements.
• Creates inclusive learning environments where all students feel capable, confident, and successful.
• Collaborates effectively with colleagues and contributes positively to professional learning and curriculum development.
