Job summary

Draft NZ Limited is seeking reliable, hands-on workers for our production team in Tuakau (with opportunities at nearby Karaka). The roles cover end-of-line packing, production line work, cleaning and hygiene, and hanging bay activities in a cold, wet environment.

You will lift up to 20 kg, stay on your feet for long periods, and rotate across roles. A valid New Zealand driver’s license, reliability, and a pre-employment drug test are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a restricted or full New Zealand driver's license.
• Physically fit and able for hands-on work.
• Reliable, punctual and strong work ethic.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, team-focused environments.
• Previous production, laboring or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Willing to rotate across different roles for variety.
• Own reliable transport.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Clear Ministry of Justice check.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• End-of-Line Packing: packaging poultry products quickly and accurately.
• Production Line Work: handling raw poultry in a chilled environment.
• Cleaning & Hygiene: using water blasters and chemicals to keep machinery clean.
• Hanging Bay: supporting the start of the processing line.

About the Role

This is hands-on, active work where no two days are exactly the same. You’ll get experience across multiple areas of production:

• End-of-Line Packing – packaging poultry products quickly and accurately
• Production Line Work – handling raw poultry in a chilled environment
• Cleaning & Hygiene – using water blasters and strong chemicals to keep machinery and the factory spotless, washing and rinsing meat trays
• Hanging Bay – handling live chickens and supporting the start of the processing line

You’ll need to be ready for:

• Lifting and moving 20kg repeatedly
• Working in cold, wet, and strong smelling environment
• Staying active and on your feet for most of the shift

• Tuakau
