New Zealand Police is seeking a Position Management Analyst in Wellington to provide expert advice on position management, educate partners, and lead data cleansing and standardisation of MyPolice data. You will support organisational change and integration into HRIS systems while partnering with diverse stakeholders across the business.

Bring your customer service ethos and analytical experience to this critical position! We are seeking a Position Management Analyst to provide technical subject matter advice on position management practices and processes. The Position Management Analyst forms part of the Organisation and Position Management team: a critical function of the Policy, Systems, and Change Centre of Excellence in the People Strategy Directorate.
As part of the strategic focus for this function, you will also be a key voice in educating our customers and our enabling partners to advocate for better position management practices and processes, so that there is a greater understanding of the impact position management has on our business. As such, you will also be instrumental in the cleansing and standardisation of our MyPolice data. Additionally, this specialist role contributes expert advice and support across the organisation in managing structural changes, ensuring its effective implementation and integration into our HRIS, MyPolice. So, you will also be an enabling partner to the business to help implement organisation system change processes and other projects. Proven experience providing high-quality advice and guidance to customers, peers, and key leaders. A continuous improvement approach to ensure the creation and maintenance of good quality data. A strong background in problem solving, identifying and assessing risk. Skilled with the ability to partner with and engage across diverse stakeholders and leadership levels. Demonstrated ability to identify and assess potential risk and elevate as required to Senior Leaders and teams.
Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours, your ability to contribute to and build high performing teams, and the way that you lead yourself or others. A collaborative and service-oriented style, with an ability to influence outcomes. A high degree of attention to detail. A working understanding of an HRIS system, My Police would be advantageous. A strong risk radar for identifying areas for escalation where there is risk to our position management and data integrity. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make sound decisions and conclusion. A pro-active approach in analysis to drive data-improvement and continuous-process improvement.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $75,496 and $78,910 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
