At Jacobs, we push the limits of what’s possible to make the world smarter, more connected and more sustainable. Our Ports and Maritime is growing across Australia and New Zealand. We are recruiting for a Principal Maritime Engineer to join our team in Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch.

In your role as a Principal Maritime Engineer your leadership in project delivery and pursuing of multidisciplinary maritime projects will be of key importance. Your focus will be in the areas of maritime infrastructure planning and design, engaging with senior engineers and technical leaders, supporting junior members of the team, delivering outputs and packages for small, medium and large multidisciplinary Ports and Maritime projects.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of the Maritime team, and the wider Jacobs team across multiple disciplines and geographies, including mentoring of less experienced staff. You will be responsible for leading bids and marketing to external and internal clients to build and maintain a pipeline of projects in New Zealand.

You will integrate into our ANZ Ports and Maritime team, supporting team initiatives and maintaining connectivity across the region and other geographies.

We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.
