Job summary

Watercare in Auckland is seeking a Strategic Delivery Analyst to support our strategic portfolio and help leaders prioritise investments and delivery. You will provide structure, analysis and insight to inform executive decisions and ensure initiatives are well-defined and commercially robust.

Sharpen your analytical and modelling skills, work with senior leaders across strategy development and delivery, and help Watercare move from reporting to explaining what actions are needed next.

Qualifications

• Experience in portfolio analytics and strategy development.
• Strong financial modelling and scenario analysis skills.
• Experience supporting business cases and executive decision-making.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and presentations.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain structured portfolio data.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a single source of truth - benefits, costs, resourcing and timelines for a decision-useful view.
• Support initiative intake and shaping - ensure new proposals are well-defined and commercially sound.
• Provide analytical insight to inform decisions - test assumptions and develop scenario analyses.
• Identify trade-offs and opportunities - highlight dependencies and optimisation opportunities.
• Support delivery performance and assurance - analyse progress and raise risks for in-flight initiatives.
