Job summary

Qube Ports NZ is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to join our team, reporting to the National Training Supervisor. This role will own the training space across Wellington and New Plymouth port operations, building strong relationships, identifying training needs, and driving outcomes in a busy operational environment.

You will coordinate and deliver training activities, competency assessments, refresher training, and compliance requirements, ensuring our workforce remains skilled, safe,

Qualifications

• Experience delivering workplace training in port/logistics contexts.
• Ability to develop training plans and coordinate across sites.
• Proficient in Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments and training records.
• Strong communication and understanding of adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate training plans across assigned sites.
• Deliver operational training, refresher training, and competency assessments.
• Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments.
• Maintain training records and Learning Management System data.
• Support rollout of new training programmes and initiatives.
• Coordinate traineeships and external training providers.
• Assist with training reporting, planning, and administration.
• Ensure training activities align with company procedures and compliance requirements.
