About the Role
Stratford District Council is seeking Casual and Part Time Pool Lifeguards to help ensure the safe, welcoming, and efficient operation of Wai o Rua - Stratford Aquatic Centre.
Key responsibilities include:
These positions are rostered and will include weekend and school holiday hours. Part Time Lifeguards will work a guaranteed minimum number of hours each week. Casual Lifeguards will be employed on an as required basis to assist with operational needs and staff leave coverage.
These positions will be located at the Wai O Rua - Stratford Aquatic Centre, 53 Portia Street, Stratford. The salary range for Pool Lifeguards is $23.90 - $30 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience.

About You
You are a confident communicator with a positive, friendly and can‑do attitude. You will thrive as part of a team but work well as an individual. You will help set the atmosphere and environment in the complex while ensuring the safety of our users at all times. You will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of the aquatic functions.
A practical swim assessment forms part of the recruitment process. All Aquatic Services roles are subject to Police Vetting in accordance with the Children's Act 2014.
