Job summary

Tribe Group in Wellington seeks a part-time Policy and Advocacy Analyst to produce submissions, briefings and advocacy content. You’ll partner with a specialist team to ensure every position is evidence-led, current, and credible, with some regional travel.

You'll represent the organisation at hearings, forums, and hui, supported and coached, with a start by negotiation and pro rata salary between NZ$105,000 and NZ$120,000 depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated submission and policy writing for committees, councils, consultations.
• Strong understanding of NZ public policy environment.
• Ability to move between submissions, ministerial briefings, and plain-language updates.
• Research and synthesis to translate data into a defensible position.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and building trusted relationships.
• Sound judgement, discretion, non-partisan approach.
• Interest in presenting, facilitation, forums or hearings (nice to have).
