We\'re looking for a Planning Technical Support Officer to join our Planning Technical Support team in Mangawhai. This permanent, full-time role is all about providing technical and administrative support to keep our planning processes running smoothly - helping us deliver great outcomes for our community.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Supporting the processing of resource consent applications (land use and subdivision).
  • Assisting with post-approval processes and liaising with professionals such as surveyors and engineers.
  • Managing road numbering processes in line with standards and Council policy.
  • Facilitating public and limited notification hearings, including preparing documentation and coordinating logistics.
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate records.

What we\'re looking for

  • Strong customer service experience and ability to work with a wide range of people.
  • Experience of electronic and paper records management.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of the Resource Management Act and local government processes is an advantage.
  • A friendly, solutions-focused approach and eagerness to learn.
