About The Role

We’re seeking a motivated Pipeline CCTV and Robotics Repair Technician to join our team in Glendene, Auckland.

In this full-time role, you’ll play an essential role in audit, maintenance, and technical support of CCTV and Robotics equipment and controls.

Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Carry out proactive and essential service and maintenance work on our range of pipe inspection gear and robotics equipment, ideally to PCB and component level
  2. Audit CCTV camera van fleet, including brand/model (IPEK, IBAK etc.), computer software, inverter/generator power source, internet connection, operating system V8/VX, list of equipment (crawlers, CCUs etc.)
  3. Work with the National Fleet Manager to research and develop new CCTV fleet specifications, including equipment and layout
  4. Implement and commission upgrades to CCTV/robotics fleet and equipment
  5. Work with the National Fleet Manager to establish repair and maintenance processes and identify suppliers
  6. Research and design a national specification for robotics equipment, allowing for future growth in the area
  7. Develop a process and maintenance schedule for robotics truck fleet
  8. Provide training to operators in CCTV/robotics

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. Electrical trade qualification or experience in an electronics field
  2. Two to five years’ service maintenance experience in a similar industry
  3. Relevant experience and/or certified training in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
  4. Two to five years’ experience related to installation and commissioning activities
  5. Technical experience for training employees
  6. Good understanding of the field service works conducted by TDG
  7. Strong IT systems and software knowledge
  8. Analytical and structured thinking, with careful and responsible working methods
  9. Ability to establish and maintain supplier relationships
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, related to innovation and process improvement
