Job summary

Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District is seeking a Physiotherapist (Inpatients) based at Hutt Hospital. The role is permanent part-time (0.5 FTE / 20 hours per week) and focuses on inpatient care with responsibilities in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.

The successful candidate will work with the Medical ward and CCU, with additional outpatient respiratory caseload and participation in outpatient cardiac rehabilitation. A team-oriented and adaptable approach is essential.

• Clinical experience in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy to inpatients on the Medical ward and Coronary Care unit.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a physiotherapist, either with experience or looking to further develop skills and knowledge in the area of cardiorespiratory. The role is part of the inpatient physiotherapy team, based primarily on the Medical ward and Coronary Care unit, and will also carry an outpatient respiratory caseload and participate in the outpatient cardiac rehabilitation programme. This is an opportunity to be part of a great team of physiotherapists and to work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team. Candidates should be enthusiastic, motivated, a team player and willing to have a flexible and adaptable approach to work.

About our team

The Physiotherapy Department at Hutt Hospital provides physiotherapy services to patients/clients within the hospital and primary caresetting. Services are delivered on all inpatient wards including the Medical Assessment and Planning Unit (MAPU) and Emergency Department (ED). Outpatient services are provided within the hospital or based in GP clinics.
