Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora seeks a NZ Registered Physiotherapist to provide assessment and treatment in inpatient or outpatient settings on a casual basis at Taranaki Base Hospital or nearby community locations.

Requires current NZ Physiotherapy Annual Practising Certificate, valid NZ work visa and a driver’s licence; hospital experience is preferred. Te Reo and strong communication are advantageous; orientation and competency training are provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment in inpatient or outpatient settings.

About the Role

Casual Physiotherapist

We are seeking a NZ Registered Physiotherapist who is interested in working as inpatient or outpatient cover on a casual basis

Work will be committed to on an as needed basis

NB Could include Rostered weekend duties if desired (Orientation and competency training provided)

This work occurs within the Physiotherapy department at Taranaki Base Hospital or can occur in community locations.

About you

You will need to have:

Current NZ Physiotherapy Annual Practising Certificate

Valid work Visa for NZ and Drivers licence

Hospital experience preferred

Problem solving approach

Excellent cultural knowledge & practice Te Reo speaking is an advantage

Excellent communication skills to work with other staff and patients

Desire for ongoing self-directed learning

Working visa/NZ residence (as appropriate). This role is not suitable for those needing a sponsored work visa.
