This role offers the opportunity to work predominantly within our ACC Pain Management and Concussion Services contracts, supporting clients to achieve meaningful outcomes and improve their quality of life.

This is a permanent full-time position with a varied caseload across both clinic and community settings. While many appointments may take place in the community, clinicians also have the flexibility to see clients in-clinic where appropriate. Working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver client-centred rehabilitation programmes that make a genuine difference in people's lives.

As you develop within the role, there is also the opportunity to take on Key Worker responsibilities within our ACC contracts. Clinicians with an interest in other rehabilitation services, including Training for Independence (TI) or Sensitive Claims, may also have opportunities to broaden their caseload.

Main responsibilities:
  • Deliver assessment and rehabilitation services for clients under ACC Pain Management and Concussion Services contracts
  • Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation programmes in clinic and community settings
  • Support clients experiencing the effects of persistent pain, concussion, and other complex rehabilitation needs
  • Work collaboratively with psychologists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, rehabilitation consultants, and other allied health professionals
  • Complete comprehensive clinical assessments, goal setting, and progress reviews
  • Prepare high-quality reports outlining client abilities, goals, recommendations, and treatment outcomes
  • Utilise diary management and clinical software systems effectively
  • Support clients to achieve independence, return to meaningful activities, and improve functional outcomes
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary rehabilitation planning and service delivery
The ideal candidate:

Clinicians with 5+ years' experience will be particularly well positioned to work within ACC Pain Management Services, although candidates with 2-3 years' experience and a strong interest in this area are encouraged to apply.

  • NZ Physiotherapy registration with a current APC
  • A minimum of 2 years' clinical physiotherapy experience
  • Experience working within ACC-funded rehabilitation services is highly desirable
  • Experience or a strong interest in concussion rehabilitation and persistent pain management
  • Understanding of a biopsychosocial approach to rehabilitation
  • Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
The benefits of working with us:
