Job summary

Green Cross Health's Unichem Pharmacy Greenmeadows in Napier is offering a pharmacist intern position to start your career in a supportive learning environment. You will gain hands-on experience in dispensing and pharmacy services while working under a preceptor.

The role is a full-time fixed-term internship (~40 hours/week on rotating rosters) with a clear pathway to becoming a licensed pharmacist within a locally operated Green Cross Health affiliated pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Final year of a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (NZ or approved overseas institution)
• Enrolled (or planning to enroll) in EVOLVE Intern Training Programme
• Legally able to work in New Zealand (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or appropriate Work Visa holder)
• Obtain provisional registration with the Pharmacy Council of NZ under the Intern Scope of Practice before starting
• Meet the Pharmacy Council's Fit and Proper Person criteria (e.g., good character, no major criminal history, safe to practise)

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations within the Dispensary and provide accurate dispensing under supervision
• Work alongside the wider Pharmacy team to learn about Dispensary operations and the Pharmacy Retail business
• Gain hands-on experience across many areas of pharmacy practice and development towards a professional Pharmacist role
