Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Project Manager to lead development and commercialization projects from R&D through market launch. The role, based in Queenstown, requires senior project leadership across cross‑functional teams, budget oversight, and tight timelines.

You will ensure regulatory alignment, manage risks, and drive successful product transitions, with a focus on timelines, quality, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or business field.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex pharmaceutical development or commercialization projects.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle, including R&D, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cross‑functional project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to project milestones, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of project management best practices within the organization.
• Foster a positive and productive team environment, motivating team members to achieve project goals.
• Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and comprehensively.
