Job summary

RobLawMax Recruitment seeks a qualified Drainlayer with a current NZ PGDB licence to join civil construction projects across wastewater, drainage and infrastructure works. The role focuses on hands-on installation, repairs and upgrades on active construction sites in Auckland and Whangārei.

You will read plans, operate tools safely, and work with a professional site team to deliver high-quality drainage systems while prioritising health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in drain laying and civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and project specs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out drainage and wastewater installation works to a high standard
• Install and connect drainage pipes, fittings, manholes, and infrastructure
• Complete repairs and upgrades to drainage systems
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and project specifications
• Work around civil construction and wastewater treatment environments
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers and other trades on site
• Ensure all work meets project requirements and industry standards
• Maintain health, safety, quality and environmental requirements
