Our client, an industry-recognised and award-winning broking house, is in growth mode and seeking a Domestic Insurance Broker to help manage a portfolio of existing clients and proactively undertake business activities to promote growth of the portfolio.

Duties in this role will include:

  1. Maintenance of a portfolio of personal lines clients
  2. Providing quotations for new and existing clients, processing endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
  3. Proactively acting upon new business leads provided by the brokerage
  4. Making outbound calls to clients prior to renewal to update sums insured and policy information
  5. Identifying opportunities for cross-sell and/or up-sell of products to clients
  6. Working collaboratively with team members
Requirements
  • Experience in personal lines insurance is essential
  • Prior experience undertaking all aspects of insurance broking, including responding to client requests, processing, documentation, and claims management
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to take direction from senior staff
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Holding or working towards professional insurance qualifications
  • Understanding of the insurance market
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation within insurance practice
  • Proficiency in IT and office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High ethical standards
