Job summary

Aon is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor or experienced HR Generalist to join our People Matters team in Auckland on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will provide practical guidance on employee relations, HR policies, and compliance, partnering with leaders to drive positive people outcomes.

With about 2 years of relevant experience, you will handle investigations, performance management, absence management, and workplace issues, while contributing to change projects and global HR

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in employee relations or HR advisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive cases with discretion and integrity.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in HR systems and MS Office.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience in execution and implementation of change management activity

Responsibilities

Aon is on the search for an Employee Relations Advisor or experienced HR Generalist to fill a 12-month Fixed-Term opportunity within our People Matters team. As a People Matters Consultant, this role is responsible for providing practical and commercially sound guidance on employee relations, HR policies and legislative compliance, while partnering with leaders to deliver positive people outcomes.

This opportunity would ideally suit an applicant with approximately 2 years employee relations experience, or a broader generalist HR background with exposure to performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters and manager advisory work.

This role is open in our Auckland office and is suitable for candidates seeking either full-time or part-time arrangements.
