Job summary

MOTAT in Auckland is seeking a seasoned People and Culture Manager for a two-year fixed term to lead the People, Culture, and Wellbeing portfolio and guide the team through a period of change. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will support leaders, employees and volunteers, drive inclusive practices, te ao Māori understanding, and foster a safe, high-performing culture across about 400 people.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience as a HR leader; strong people management experience.
• Ability to thrive in a busy environment and support a team across a broad portfolio.
• Passion for delivering people and culture initiatives within an organisation.
• Understanding of te ao Māori me ōna tikanga and safety and wellbeing (or on a pathway to this).
• Attention to detail and aptitude for communication, relationship-building and change management.
• Lead with integrity in everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Lead MOTAT’s People, Culture, and Wellbeing portfolio – a team of five initially.
• Support our operational HR functions through a period of organisational change.
• Empower 400 team members (employees and volunteers) with a people-first approach.
