Job summary

Rotorua Lakes Council is seeking a Fixed Term Organisational Culture Partner (20 hours per week) to lead the ongoing evolution of Tai Kawenga and partner with the People & Culture team to deliver organisation-wide culture initiatives in Rotorua.

The role focuses on embedding culture, engagement and change management across the organisation and requires strong communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills within a bicultural framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in organisational development, culture and change management.
• Strong communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding Te Ao Māori and bicultural organisational practice is valued.
• Experience in complex organisations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate culture initiatives across the organisation.
• Build organisational change capability within teams.
• Drive employee engagement activities and adoption of new ways of working.
• Provide guidance on culture, engagement and change management.
• Ensure programmes align with Council priorities and people practices.
