We have an opportunity for a collaborative and experienced people professional to join our People & Culture Team in the role of People & Culture Business Partner - Commercial. Reporting to the HR Director ANZ, this permanent full-time role is based at our Ellerslie Head Office, with flexible working options.

If you are a motivated and influential leader with excellent communication skills, high levels of integrity and a passion for all things employee experience, along with a genuine interest in joining an internally owned but locally operated FMCG company, then this opportunity is perfect for you!

In this role you’d be providing business partnering solutions to our people leaders and supporting all commercial functions across the employee life cycle, as we continue to grow our brands in both NZ and internationally. With your portfolio spread across multiple sites (and field sales), no day will be the same as you balance the day to day operational with supporting the delivery of People & Culture strategies and initiatives. You’ll enjoy working in the detail but also thrive on the opportunity to think ‘bigger picture’, driving meaningful change that can truly make a difference!

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Contributing to effective strategy development, communication and execution of the HR Strategic plan and overall business strategy
  • Business partnering to provide generalist HR support to all commercial functions, ensuring compliance with legislative and contractual obligations whilst delivering exceptional employee experiences
  • Supporting all areas of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, change management, performance management and offboarding
  • Leading, coaching and engaging one dotted line report (Recruitment & HR Coordinator)
  • Partnering closely with our newly created Centres of Excellence Teams (Talent & Engagement, Total Rewards and Shared Services) to continue to streamline processes to ensure seamless experiences for our people
  • Providing input and assistance in the execution of strategic HR initiatives/projects; with a focus on learning and development initiatives and programmes that sustain and enhance commercial capability
  • Engaging stakeholders to drive a highly engaged workforce with strong alignment to our values & purpose
  • Identifying, developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and providing coaching where required

What you’ll bring to the role?

  • Proven experience HR advisory/partnering roles, ideally within the world of FMCG or similar environments
  • Tertiary qualified with a business or HR related endorsement
  • Sound working knowledge of NZ employment related legislation and experience managing ER cases
  • Excellent communication, coaching and business partnering skills - you can tailor your approach & love working with a range of people every day
  • Outstanding time management skills, with the proven ability to prioritise and focus on what’s important - you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy flexing your plans to suit what the day brings!
  • Proven experience in influencing others to drive meaningful change
  • Sound and considered decision making skills (so much so, that others look to you for support in this space)
  • Strong written and numerical skillset, with an ability to work to a high degree of accuracy

What can you expect in return? In addition to having plenty of snacks on hand in the office, you can expect to be part of a supportive working environment where you'll feel engaged and valued, career growth opportunities, flexible working options and a focus on health and wellness to make your workplace more enjoyable – including Birthday leave and Wellbeing & Volunteer Days!

If you have the experience we are looking for and you’re keen to be part of an internationally owned but locally operated company creating happy snacking moments every day, we’d love to hear from you! Please apply directly online (and note the details below).
