About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People & Capability Partner to support our operations in our Central East region, based out of our Hamilton depot.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering the Northpower People Plan within our Energy Services division, working closely with people leaders to ensure our people processes, programs, and systems are aligned with business objectives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their experience in a generalist role with a semi sole charge focus. You’ll gain exposure across the full HR spectrum from recruitment and employee relations to learning and development and HR systems while being supported to grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the delivery of P&C continuous improvement initiatives
  • Increase & enhance P&C's contribution & presence to the wider business
  • Support P&C Delivery team and managers on solving ER issues
  • Aid Recruitment partner regarding the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Coordinating and producing HR reports and metrics on behalf of HR team
  • Assisting in the delivery of communications to the Central Distribution team and wider business

Key Requirements:

  • Have a passion for people
  • Great written and verbal communications skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise and demonstrate resilience
  • Comfortable communicating with people at all levels of the business, including a blue-collar workforce
  • Proactive, flexible, and a team player
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience in a generalist HR or Recruitment role is essential
  • Tertiary qualification within HR is desirable
