We're looking for a People Business Partner to join our whānau and help us shape the future of NZ Post.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

This is a rare opportunity for someone ready to take the next step into business partnering. You'll work alongside our experienced People Business Partners, supporting tier 4 to 6 leaders with proactive advice, coaching, and guidance. Your focus will be on building leadership capability and confidence, enabling effective people management and informed decision-making.

You'll be a trusted advisor, helping leaders navigate performance, engagement, talent, and change — all while championing our values and supporting key people initiatives.

On a day to day basis you can expect to be immersed in:

  • Partnering with leaders to implement people strategies aligned with business goals
  • Supporting initiatives like team development, succession planning, and engagement
  • Coaching leaders to build confidence in managing people matters
  • Enabling change through thoughtful planning and collaboration
  • Working closely with our wider People Team to deliver impactful programmes
Mōu - About You

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will already be on your HR career path and looking for the next step. You will have around 3+ years of generalist HR experience, ideally gained within advisory and coaching roles. Alongside this you will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience. Your super powers will include strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills. You have a collaborative mindset and a passion for helping others grow knowledge across areas like performance management, employment legislation, and talent development.
