Job summary

The Warehouse Group is hiring for a hands-on Inwards Locals role at one of New Zealand's largest distribution centres. You'll unpack cartons, scan and sort stock by barcode, and ensure items are receipted and ready for the floor.

This fixed-term position runs through February 2027, with Monday to Friday 2:00pm–10:30pm, paid at $30.28 per hour. You must be physically fit, able to lift 1–20 kg, and work effectively in a fast-paced, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to be on your feet all day.
• Able to lift and handle stock with care and accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Enjoy solving problems in a fast-moving environment.
• Clear communicator who works well independently and in a team.
• Warehouse/distribution experience is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Unpacking cartons (1kg-20kg).
• Scanning and sorting stock by barcode.
• Using RF scanners to track items.
• Assisting with closing, labeling, and prepping stock for the floor.
• Operating pallet jacks, box cutters, and strapping machines.
• Bulk picking and managing stock locations.
• Adapting to changing priorities throughout the day.
