Health and Physical Education

Our school is seeking an inspiring and collaborative teacher of physical education across all year levels with junior health. The successful applicant will also teach other subjects. This position is a full-time, permanent position from the beginning of the 2026 academic year.

The successful applicant needs to be a team player, familiar with the relevant curriculum and NCEA assessment requirements, and able to inspire and engage young women. We have a well-resourced, well-led, and collaborative PE and Health Department. Applicants need to be registered in New Zealand and show a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the values of our school.

Palmerston North Girls’ High School is the only state girls’ secondary school in Manawatū. We have outstanding NCEA results and work within a Culturally Responsive and Relational Framework.
