PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR – SUMMER JOB IN CROMWELL

Location: Cromwell, Central Otago, New Zealand

Season: Summer 25/26 (Late November - February)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Payroll Admin to join our team in Cromwell for the 2025/26 cherry harvest season. This fixed-term role runs for 10–13 weeks from late November and offers full-time hours, Monday to Sunday (minimum 30 hours per week). You’ll work closely with our Auckland payroll team to process weekly payroll for up to 500 employees, answer pay queries, and make sure everything runs in line with New Zealand payroll legislation.

What the job involves:

  • Processing weekly payroll for seasonal staff
  • Calculating payable hours, bonuses, and deductions
  • Checking timesheets for accuracy and missing clock-ins/outs
  • Resolving payroll queries, including picking payroll issues
  • Ensuring pay rates are accurate and up to date
  • Communicating payroll-related information to management
  • Following NZ employment law and payroll legislation
