About the Role
As a Patient Support & Security Worker, you will assist our teams to ensure that we continue to provide a welcoming and safe environment for the Emergency Department, Inpatient Mental Health Unit and our Older Persons’ Mental Health Unit at Alexandra Hospital in Richmond. You’ll also focus on working with staff to best meet the needs of patients and their whānau accessing our services.
As this is a casual position, there are no fixed/guaranteed hours of work. However, the more available you are the more shifts you'll be offered.
Hospitals are here to help people, but it takes a great team beyond the Doctors and Nurses to keep things running smoothly and ensure everyone is well looked after. Here at Nelson Hospital an important part of making this happen relies on always having an awesome Patient Support & Security team on site. About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team is made up of 12 staff across Nelson/Marlborough. This position has a focus on ensuring that people who attend ED and Mental Health services are supported within a welcoming environment that supports safety, recovery and wellbeing.
About you
As a Patient Support & Security Worker, you will:
Previous experience in security, or a related industry is preferred. However, this is not essential as training will be provided.
