Job summary

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago is seeking a full-time caregiver to safely assist with patient mobility and daily living activities on the Med Surg unit.

Shifts are four 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm, with comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation.

Applicants should have a HS Diploma and BLS, and be able to lift up to 35 pounds; training and growth are supported by Advocate Health.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist with patient activity, ambulation, and mobility.
• Assist with ambulation to the bathroom and with unskilled exercises as delegated by a RN.
• Support patient positioning, transfers, and transporting duties, including lifting and pushing.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and respond to patient call lights.
