Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeks experienced Paste Crew to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island. You will monitor paste fill systems to meet engineering specs and install/maintain underground infrastructure.

The role starts with project delivery slated for October 2026, offering a competitive remuneration package and accommodation allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Paste Crew in mining or construction.
• Valid NZ Class 1 unrestricted manual licence.
• Forklift Licence or IT Tickets verified.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain and operate paste fill systems and piping.
• Install and maintain bulk heads and walls.
• Install and maintain underground infrastructure (vent doors, escapeway ladders, pumping equipment).
• Perform service crew tasks across underground operations.
• Keep detailed records of paste fill activities and report discrepancies.

About the Role

Macmahon Underground is Returning to New Zealand and Seeking experienced Paste Crew to join our team at the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand's South Island

As part of this exciting opportunity, Macmahon will deliver underground development, production and backfill services from October 2026.

We are looking for Experienced Paste Crew, where you will monitor the performance of paste fill systems to ensure they meet the engineering specification for the mine. You will also install and maintain underground infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Install maintain and operate paste fill reticulation infrastructure and piping.
• Install and maintain bulk heads and walls
• Install and maintain underground infrastructure such as vent doors escapeway ladders and fixed pumping equipment.
• Competent in all aspects of service crew
• Keep detailed records of paste fill activities and report any discrepancies.
• Unrestricted Manual driving licence, Working at Heights, Dangerous Goods, scaling and IT Tickets required.
• Champion safe work practices and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous Paste Crew experience, ideally within mining or construction.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A safety-first mindset with the ability to follow site procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Class 1 (unrestricted manual) New Zealand drivers licence (essential)).
• Current Forklift Licence and/or Integrated Tool Carrier (IT) ticket.
