Job summary

Sime Motors in Wellington is seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the workshop is supplied with parts, maintaining accuracy, and delivering orders on time while supporting customer and trade relationships.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to achieve sales targets. Training will be provided for smash quotations where applicable.

Qualifications

• Franchise parts experience - ideally with any European franchise or 3+ years in a retail parts dept.
• Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in work.
• Customer-centric mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams for best customer outcomes.
• Excellent computer literacy and experience with DMS systems.
• Experience preparing smash repair quotations desirable but not essential - training available.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workshop is supplied with parts and accurate stock is available.
• Prepare smash repair quotations and manage related admin.
• Maintain existing customer and trade relationships.
• Achieve sales targets and drive parts department performance.
• Ensure timely processing and delivery of all orders.

The role

Our friendly team in Wellington offers a comprehensive range of new and used BMW and MINI vehicles, parts, and accessories, and are looking for a Parts Advisor to join them. Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the workshop is supplied with parts, accuracy and on time preparing smash repair quotations maintain existing customer & trade relationships and achieving sales targets ensuring the timely processing and delivery of all orders.

About you

• Franchise parts experience - ideally with any European franchise or a minimum of three years’ experience within a retail parts department
• Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in work
• A customer centric mindset and excellent communication skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams for best customer outcomes
• Excellent computer literacy and experience with DMS systems
• Experience preparing smash repair quotations desirable but not essential - we're willing to train.
