Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites a Speech Language Therapist to join Kidz First CDT. You will work with babies aged 0-3 years to support feeding, swallowing and communication, in a multidisciplinary community setting.

The role emphasizes cultural responsiveness with Maaori and Pacific communities, flexible service delivery (in-person, telehealth, groups) and opportunities for professional development with the inpatient SLT team.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the NZ Speech-Language Therapists Association and hold APC.
• Must show commitment to working with tamariki and advocating for their needs.
• Must have a full, clean driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat children 0-3 years in community settings.
• Collaborate with paediatricians, psychologists and MDT; deliver care via in-person, telehealth or group sessions.
• Participate in Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies with the team.
