An exciting new opportunity has arisen at Ash Surgery for a qualified Nursing Associate to join our forward-thinking, friendly and supportive GP practice in the village of Ash, near Canterbury. The practice has just under 5000 patients and the team includes which includes 5 GPs, 1 paramedic practitioner, 1 advanced nurse practitioner trainee, 1 practice nurse and 2 health care assistants with a supportive and experienced admin team.
Yourprimary responsibility in the practice is the delivery of practice nursingservices, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, deliveringcare within your scope of practice to our patient population. The nursingassociate has a breadth of knowledge across the fields of nursing, providingholistic and person-centred care and support for people of all ages. This rolewill assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care,health promotion and patient education.

Job summary
The post holder isresponsible for the delivery of general practice nursing care to the practicepopulation. Supported by a senior nurse within the practice, they will delivercare within the boundaries of their role, focusing upon supporting patients tobe healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health prevention and screeningactivities. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team tomeet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures,and providing nurse leadership as required. In addition, the post-holder willbe required to support the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the strategicobjectives of the practice are met.

The clinical teamcomprises of GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (Nurse,Paramedic, Pharmacist), Practice Nurse,Healthcare Assistants and Phlebotomist.
The practiceoperates on a team based approach with regular meetings to share best practiceand ideas. Team objectives are clearly stated and measured against national andlocal criteria.
