Job summary

Programmed in Penrose is seeking a Junior IT Service Desk professional to provide first-level support, troubleshoot hardware and software, and configure IT equipment for internal users.

This part-time role offers hands-on training, exposure to networking, and a supportive team environment, with clear growth opportunities and access to employee assistance program services. You will work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 7:00am–4:30pm, with reliable transport to Penrose.

Qualifications

• IT qualification or related study/experience.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware and networking.
• Good troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT and service desk support to users.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

About the Role:

• Providing first-level IT and service desk support to users
• Troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues
• Setting up and configuring computers, laptops and other IT equipment
• Assisting with hardware installations, replacements and upgrades
• Supporting basic networking and connectivity issues
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
• Responding to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner
• Assisting the wider IT team with day-to-day technical tasks
• Providing excellent customer service to internal users
