Job summary

Presbyterian Support Central’s Kowhainui Home in Whanganui is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Enliven team on a part-time basis. The role supports elderly residents with compassionate, person-centred care and works 14:00 to 22:30 with 56 hours per fortnight.

We offer weekend and night shift allowances and overtime, plus opportunities for additional shifts to cover leave. Training and support for Annual Practising Certificate maintenance are provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Nurse with current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• At least 2 years full-time experience as an EN.
• Experience in provision of care to elders.
• Shift coordination experience or supervision of a team of Health Care Assistants.
• Coaching and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver quality care to older residents in Kowhainui Home.
• Supervise and role model best practice for healthcare assistants.
• Contribute to person-centred care and well-being of residents.
• Assist with work-life balance by flexible shift coverage and overtime where needed.
