Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato Hospital in Hamilton seeks a Specialist Dermatology Physician for a permanent part-time role. The successful appointee will supervise dermatology registrars, nurses and medical students from the University of Auckland and other institutions.

The role requires postgraduate dermatology qualifications and vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand; paediatric dermatology training is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications as a Dermatologist.
• Additional training in Paediatric Dermatology is a plus.
• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Dermatologist.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dermatology registrars, Dermatology Nurses and medical students.
• Participate in teaching, continuing medical education and quality improvement.
• Outpatient dermatology clinics, phototherapy, patch testing, and minor procedures.
• Contribute to service development and team-based patient care.
