Job summary

Service Foods Taranaki is seeking a hands-on Driver/Store Person to support warehouse operations, deliveries, stock management and dispatch for our New Plymouth team.

This part-time, permanent role involves working Monday, Thursday and Friday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, with manual handling and a range of admin tasks. You’ll be a practical, reliable contributor in a small, customer‑focused team within a proudly New Zealand owned business.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 Driver Licence required.
• Forklift or Class 2 licence advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn SAGE.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or in a team.
• Experience in warehouse, pick-pack, delivery, or food industry desirable.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexibility to work additional hours.
• Familiarity with New Plymouth area advantageous.
• Clean driving and criminal record.
• NZ citizenship, residency, or valid NZ work visa.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles and complete deliveries on time.
• Load and unload vehicles and assist with warehouse operations.
• Receive, inspect, barcode, label, and record incoming stock.
• Maintain stock records and stock rotation (FIFO).
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and expiry dates.
• Support dispatch, truck loading, and invoice processing.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist with occasional administrative tasks and order entry.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse.
• Follow health, safety, and food safety policies.
• Perform manual handling and heavy lifting as required.
