Job summary
Presbyterian Support Otago in Balclutha is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join Enliven care home. You will lead a shift of Care Workers and Enrolled Nurses to provide holistic healthcare for residents, promoting independence and quality of life.
The role requires sound nursing knowledge, the ability to make clinical decisions, and strong communication with residents and families. Part-time, with casual shifts also available and a pathway to leadership.
Qualifications
- NZ Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate.
- Good clinical, communication and leadership skills.
- Good time management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience undertaking InterRAI assessments.
- Empathy, compassion and patience.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Reasonable fitness and strength.
- Experience in care of older people preferred, but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead a shift of Care Workers and Enrolled Nurses to provide comprehensive healthcare for residents.
- Develop, implement and evaluate an integrated plan of health care.
- Make clinical decisions in the best interests of residents’ wellbeing and safety.
- Nurture relationships with residents and families based on trust and respect.
